2 WEEKS!

We’re not done yet and we’re not giving up.

Ragnar Trail Michigan Officially Postponed

It’s with a good bit of disappointment that we officially announce that Ragnar Trail Michigan has officially been postponed. Even more of a bummer is that the dates that it’s now scheduled is one that most of the team can not attend or in light of our current status, willing to give up: Labor DayContinue reading “Ragnar Trail Michigan Officially Postponed”

A Runner Looks at 40

I’m not there yet but tomorrow’s my birthday and as my wife like’s to remind me, it’s a big one because it’s the last of my 30’s.  She makes me laugh.  I had one coworker this week tell me that 39 was his worst birthday and he freaked out and bought a mustang.  I’m prettyContinue reading “A Runner Looks at 40”

Run-Gooder #5 – Matt

#Repost! – Matt’s been a big part of our team since he joined last year.  As we roll out who is on Team Runnin’ Not Walken for ’19, we will feature those profiles here and since we already have a mention of Matt here, I thought it was a great time to share this blogContinue reading “Run-Gooder #5 – Matt”

Why Ragnar?

Why do we run Ragnar Relays to benefit charity?  The answer is because you can’t do epic alone.  It wasn’t always that way though.  In the very beginning, the hope was to prove we could physically pull it off. To the uninitiated, a Ragnar Relay is a 12 person, approximately 200-ish mile relay style race. Continue reading “Why Ragnar?”

Happy February!

I saw this the other day and it got me thinking and I just had to share.  It’s a pretty simple message but it’s the kind of thing that can turn into a pretty inspirational message for our efforts here, maybe even a mission statement: To Be A Light of Hope & Encouragement for RunnersContinue reading “Happy February!”

Reflection Friday…

It does not matter how slowly you go, as long as you do not stop – Confucius Happy Friday!  Today is January 25th and the first month of the year is almost in the books.  It is remarkable how quickly time flies nowadays.  As we bring this month to a close, or anything for thatContinue reading “Reflection Friday…”

Thursday Thoughts

Just a couple ideas or thoughts for this Thursday, January the 17th…. Running and training in the winter is hard.  Training any time is difficult but when you throw snow and 20 degrees…No Thanks! My motivation is low right now.  I should be better and I was excited about running the Indy Mini is aContinue reading “Thursday Thoughts”

Run-Gooder #8 – Amanda

“If it doesn’t challenge you, it won’t change you.” – Fred DeVito After corresponding and finally getting to meet her, the above quote made me think of her.  Matt’s better half joined Runnin’ Not Walken this past year and she was a great addition to the team and I believe, qualifies as a Run-Gooder, especiallyContinue reading “Run-Gooder #8 – Amanda”

Run-Gooder #5 – Matt

I have known Matt since we were both in college back in the early 2000’s and worked at a Lowe’s store here in Fort Wayne.  I always got along with Matt but I don’t recall a lot of details about him.  He’d always been a good guy as far as I knew.  Time passes andContinue reading “Run-Gooder #5 – Matt”
